SWING – AVC 60′ CUTTER
Year: 2004
Trimarine was involved in the construction coordination and technical supervision of two cruising yachts designed by Studio Andrea Vallicelli & Co. and built in Monfalcone, Italy. As it is becoming increasingly popular in such projects involving sophisticated composite structures, the Owners have commissioned the construction of the hull/deck shell and structure to one boatyard which then handed over the completion of the vessel to another yard specialized in interiors and systems installation. A fundamental advantage of this solution is to make use of the best skills and equipment for the job in order to obtain a high quality product with a good cost/performance ratio. The two yachts – “Swing” and “Penelope” – although identical in hull shape, have different interior layouts and a different keel arrangement. While “Swing” has an open cockpit and is intended for a typical Mediterranean use, “Penelope” was conceived for long Ocean passages and has a closed transom offering more protection and added storage capacity.
