VIRTUELLE – AVC 79′
Year: 1999
A fast cruising yacht from the Vallicelli & Co. Design Studio in collaboration with Philippe Starck who was responsible for the Interior design and the very original Deck plan which is a departure from the layouts and geometries in use today; a deck that leaves any observer dumbfound for the original use that has been made of Teak and for the “maestria” of the craftsmen that produced it. A very innovative Hull design of medium light displacement built at Tencara in Venice from epoxy pre-impregnated carbon/aramid fibers and expanded PVC. Launched early in 2000 ” Virtuelle ” on its second regatta, placed 2nd in the World Maxi Yacht Cup of Porto Cervo and won the 2001 World Maxi Rolex Cup. Trimarine was responsible for the surveillance and coordination of the construction representing the Owner near the yard from the moment the mould plug was set up until the end of the sea trials. The project coordination work has been fundamental in guaranteeing uniformity in the design of all the details based on the philosophies of the Studio Starck and the Studio Vallicelli & C.
