ILC 30 CLASS
Year: 1997
These two racing hulls designed by Claudio Maletto for the ILC 30 Championships have been built by Trimarine in 1996-97. For both these boats, built in advanced composites using unidirectional glass/epoxy skins over expanded PVC core laminated under vacuum, Trimarine organised and built two small “ad hoc” production facilities: near Milan for the construction of “Blue Storm” and in the province of Padova for “Mascalzone Latino & C”. Working in close collaboration with an accurate and precise designer like Maletto it has been possible to address the finest construction details resulting in two hulls that are always noticeable for their beauty and the results obtained in the ILC 30 Class and IMS regattas. “Blue Storm”, was chosen to integrate the Italian team for the Sardinia Cup of 1998 obtaining 1st of it’s Class in the Sardinia Cup, 1998 and won overall as part of the Italian Team.
